Our Mission
Who are we, what are we doing, and why?
Rediscover the pulse of your community.
Vessels is a Boston-based startup building a web app designed to bring meaning back to what we buy.
We help business owners share the heart behind their work through biographies and story videos, building an authentic consumer experience where discovery naturally leads to connection—turning local commerce into a space for conversation, shared interests, and community.
Why?
Reconciliation: The restoration of a broken relationship.
As a society, it is becoming increasingly evident that we often overlook the importance of knowing “why” we do what we do. At the same time, our view of work and connection has become increasingly sterilized and transactional due to an online-centric culture, fueled by the domination of corporate giants.
At the heart of all of the brokenness and disconnect we see in ourselves and the world around us is the pain of humanity’s fractured relationship with God as a result of sin. Only through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection are we are brought back into right, peaceful relationship with Him, reconciling God and man.
Vessels seeks to open conversations about the foundations of people’s lives, foster deeper connection within local communities, and help others see themselves and each other as God does—loved, known, and called. We exist to be a vessel of reconciliation; to see people be reconciled with themselves, their community, and God.
“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His life.”
Romans 5:10 ESV
